Silverliner Liquid Aluminum Kiln Sealer

Silverliner Liquid Aluminum Kiln Sealer is a totally new interior sealer designed for lumber drying kilns. Silverliner is a blend of pure Silberline Aluminum in a base of the highest grade of fiberglass reinforced Gilsonite Asphalt. Silverliner reconditions and insulates the interior of lumber dry kilns, forming the bright, reflective, corrosion-resistant barrier your kiln maintenance requires. Silverliner is formulated to reflect heat back inside the kiln for more efficient lumber drying. Special additives provide extra adhesive strength for a tight seal to vertical metal, masonry, and wood surfaces.

Can Silverliner be used on kilns that manufacture brick or tile?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Silverliner has been formulated for use only in lumber dry kilns. We do not recommend Silverliner for use in any brick, tile, or ceramic manufacturing kiln as temperatures are greatly in excess of maximum limitations for use of any liquid kiln coating.

How is Silverliner applied?

Apply Silverliner by brush, roller, or using Pace’s seamless spray method. On very small kiln jobs, the brush and roller methods can be used, but in all other cases, seamless spray is 2 to 3 times faster.

Are skilled applicators needed?

Absolutely not. Anyone can effectively apply SILVERLINER with brush, roller or AIRLESS SEAMLESS SPRAY with professional results. How to apply information is furnished on each container. High-cost outside contractors are never necessary.

How quickly can Silverliner be applied?

Using our seamless spray equipment, two people can seal the average-sized kiln in one-half day. One operates the pole gun; the second transfers the pump between barrels and operates the air compressor. Seamless spray gives your kiln operator the most economical method for faster application and the lowest labor cost per square foot!

Is it necessary to patch the surface before applying Silverliner

Missing mortar, large cracks; other larger openings should be patched with Silverliner Cement. Silverliner Liquid Aluminum Kiln Sealer can then be applied immediately.

Are there temperature limitations for applying Silverliner?

Apply Silverliner at temperatures between 60° F and 100° F. For most kiln maintenance applications, this means Silverliner could be used any time of the year.
